American tennis player Sebastian Korda was the victim of a snatching in the street on Thursday April 4, two days before the start of the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, according to a police source who confirmed this information to France Blue Azure.
The two thieves, wearing helmets, had stationed themselves on a staircase just a few meters from the court, to wait for the athlete. When he arrived, they stopped him to steal his watch worth 300,000 euros, before fleeing on a scooter. The Menton police station speaks of a “fairly rare attack” in this sector. The two individuals are still wanted by the police.
