Mufti of the Republic: The stability of moral values is sufficient to maintain security and safety in society, regardless of the differences in beliefs and religions

Dr. Shawqi Allam, Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Bodies and Fatwa Bodies in the World, said: “We face common challenges that require us to open channels of direct dialogue with each other to find solutions to the problems facing the world.” Explaining that this sprawling world has become a small village in the truest sense of the word. And any incident, no matter how fleeting it may seem, is very local and affects the farthest place.

This came during His Eminence the Mufti’s keynote speech at the Sixth Global Forum for Dialogue between Cultures in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is held from May 1 to 3 under the slogan "Dialogue for Global Peace and Security", attended by a large number of religious leaders in the world.

His Eminence the Mufti stressed during his speech that people may disagree about beliefs and religions, but they agree on morals, and coexist among themselves in security and peace. As long as there is a social contract and a single moral code between them that elevates them towards the high meanings of honesty, honesty, cooperation in righteousness, goodness and mutual respect, he explained that the most important thing that enhances the value of peaceful coexistence and security is the pursuit of acquaintance in the sense of learning about different cultures and religions from their authentic and approved sources, not Of the malicious rumors that are spread and said about it here or there, God Almighty has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an that He did not create this diversity and multiplicity in vain or in vain, so God Almighty said: {And if your Lord had willed, He would have made mankind a single nation, and they continue to be divided, except those whom your Lord has mercy on and whom He pleases “It is for you that He created them,” and he said God Almighty: {O people, We created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you. Indeed, God is All-Knowing Yer}.

His Eminence added that the stability of moral values is sufficient to maintain security and safety in society, regardless of the differences in beliefs and religions, and any Tampering with the moral system that people have become accustomed to will lead to dire catastrophic consequences. Therefore, we need a great effort to establish values, morals, and the rules of public taste in society through religious, media, educational, and artistic institutions. We really need to activate these values and transform them into a tangible reality in our present era, after the dangers of evil forces fanning the flames of hatred, fanaticism, discord, sectarianism, and extremism have worsened. And terrorism and attacks on human dignity.

His Eminence the Mufti pointed out that the world needs practical measures that activate these noble values so that we can put an end to hatred and revive love and peace, and how much our contemporary media is in need of cooperating in love and brotherhood and not cooperating in spreading and stoking hatred. The fire of division. He also stressed the need for contemporary education to pay attention to training students, young and old, to be integrated in their agreement and differences. His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic made it clear that dialogue never turns into a unilateral conversation to defeat the violator. ; But it embodies the attempt to understand him and build bridges of understanding and cooperation with him in implementation of the will of God Almighty. God Almighty has created peoples and tribes so that we can get to know each other.

His Eminence drew attention to the efforts of the “Egyptian Fatwa House” In previous periods, determined efforts were made to unite, consolidate brotherhood, and reject hatred in the field of fatwas. The General Secretariat for the role of fatwas and bodies in the world was established for dialogue and cooperation on righteousness and piety, and to unite muftis for love and peace and to reject hatred locally and globally. Likewise, the Egyptian House of Fatwa and the General Secretariat for the role of fatwas in the world were keen To translate these values into its activities, fatwas, statements, initiatives and various international conferences.

The index was also launched. The World Fatwa Center to measure the fruits of mediocrity and hatred in the field of fatwas, stressing that all of these centers bore good results during the previous period of work, and we are still working on more.

His Eminence the Mufti continued, saying: There is no doubt that we are in these initiatives, in addition to the intentions. Kindness from here and there We need supportive education curricula and specific media platforms, and for these initiatives to be adopted by every family, and even by society with all its governmental and civil institutions, in order for them to bear the desired fruit.
