"Pavegen" And"Future Energy Summit" They launch an initiative to plant mangroves

LONDON, April 15, 2017 (WAM) – PaVision, a leader in renewable energy generation technology from human footsteps, has revealed its participation in the World Future Energy Summit, which begins in Abu Dhabi tomorrow and continues until April 18, as confirmed by the company’s interactive system, installed on the event grounds in cooperation. With RX Middle East, the organizer of the World Future Energy Summit, the importance of sustainable development and environmental preservation in the context of efforts to combat climate change.

Once walked on, the Pavevision tiles capture the kinetic energy of attendees’ footsteps and convert it into electricity to illuminate a group of LED lights, with a display screen showing the actual amount of energy generated in real time.

The current session of the World Future Energy Summit intends to invest the attendance and energy generated from it to support a pivotal environmental cause, which is planting mangroves in the UAE, giving participants a tangible sense of the extent of their contribution to the summit.

The mangrove planting initiative comes within the framework of the UAE’s strategy to confront climate change, which aims to plant 100 million mangrove trees by 2030 to achieve climate neutrality.

Mangroves are crucial to many tropical and subtropical ecosystems, and are considered an important factor in combating climate change thanks to their unique ability to absorb and sequester carbon.

Pavision’s interactive system plays an awareness-raising role, drawing participants’ attention to the importance of mangrove forests, and the role of off-grid renewable kinetic energy in promoting sustainability.

The innovative system highlights the Summit’s ongoing achievements in the field of energy, while enhancing attendees’ participation in achieving these achievements and emphasizing the importance of teamwork to preserve the environment.
