The weanling camel racing competition continues in Al Dhaid Square
Al Dhaid, April 21 / WAM / The competitions of the wean age race, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, continued today on the grounds of the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Field, in the presence of large crowds of camel owners and lovers.
The competitions, organized by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, included 21 rounds for the weanlings, including 12 rounds for the people of Al Dhaid with female participants, 4 difficult rounds for the people of Al Dhaid, 4 open rounds, and one round without treatment for a distance of 1,500 metres.
“Buruq” by Khalifa Rabei bin Ghaith Al-Ketbi won the first round, “Al-Shahiniya” by Saeed Salem Obaid Bel-Amiri won the second round, “Malazeem” by Khaled Matar Sultan Al-Ketbi won the third round, and “Rasiya” by Mubarak Awad won the fourth round.
The fifth round went to “Shaheen” by Abdullah Salem Al-Khasouni, the sixth round went to “Hashima” by Tarish Ali Bakhit Al-Musafri, and the seventh round was won by “Shaheen” by Salem Musabah Saeed Al-Ketbi with a time of 2:06:28 (the best time), and the eighth round was won by “Al-Shahiniya” by Abdullah. Salem Al-Khasouni, and in the ninth inning, “Shaheen” by Khalifa Ali Bakhit Al-Musafri.
The tenth round resulted in “Al-Shahiniya” by Abdullah Salem Al-Khasoun, “Shaheen” by Muhammad Saeed Muhammad Al-Ketbi in the eleventh round, and the twelfth round was won by “Ghaziyah” by Muhammad Mubarak Saif Al-Jazi’i, and the thirteenth round was won by “Shaheen” by Ali Saif Al-Khasouni Al-Ketbi and in the fourth round. Ten “Shahiniya” by Khalifa Ali Khalifa Humaidan Al Falasi, in the fifteenth inning “Shaheen” by Muhammad Rashid bin Markhan Al Ketbi, in the sixteenth inning “Al Shaheeniya” by Muhammad Rashid bin Markhan Al Ketbi, and in the seventeenth inning by Shaheen Abdullah Salem Al Khasuni.
As for the difficult rounds, they resulted in the victory of Al-Shahiniya by Mubarak Saghir Markhan Al-Ketbi, the 18th round, the 19th round of Al-Shabab by Salem Muhammad Salem bin Lahij Al-Ketbi, the 20th round of Al-Shahiniya by Yarouf Saghir Markhan Al-Ketbi, and the 21st round of Dhabyan by Salem Hamad Salem Al-Ketbi.
His Excellency Matar Ali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, confirmed that the weanling camel race reaps many successes that were reflected in the owners, which we saw in the faces of the owners, which reflects the true picture of the great support and attention that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah gives to camel owners.
