A karate expert requests that 3 basic strikes be deleted from the game

Captain Medhat Hashem, Chairman of the Resource Development Committee of the Egyptian Karate Federation, called for the cancellation of three basic strikes from the International Karate Federation due to the serious effects they cause and the severe harm to players when they are struck with them.

 

Hashem explained on his official page on the social networking site Facebook that the strikes that he wants to abolish from the dictionary of the International Karate Federation are: yoko giri, shoden mawashi, and money giri.

 

He continued, saying: I remember Twenty years ago, a member of the karate family died as a result of receiving one of these blows, and the matter is repeated and very annoying to everyone. I also know that it is outside the scope of the Egyptian Karate Federation’s jurisdiction, and that it is among the tasks of the International Federation, which applies its laws to the federations of the entire world, but we ask that… Officials strongly presented the matter to the International Federation to cancel these strikes in order to ensure the safety of all Egyptian players.

While many Egyptian karate coaches agreed with him, and called for their cancellation at least from kumite matches to reduce injuries due to them being harmful, some objected with the justification that they are Striking is one of the basics of the art of karate and requires a special skill from the coach to teach it to the player. If it is cancelled, karate will turn into a second game.
