Our national junior football team wins gold "The first Gulf Games for Youth"

Abu Dhabi, March 22 / WAM / Our national under-17 football team won the gold medal at the first Gulf Youth Games “UAE 2024”.
The Omani team came second and won the silver medal, and the Kuwaiti team came third and won the bronze medal.
Our national team won the gold medal by defeating its Kuwaiti counterpart 2-0 today, Monday, in the third round of competitions held at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al Wahda Club, raising its score to 6 points, while the Kuwaiti team’s score stopped at 6 points as well.
Our national team scored a brace against its Kuwaiti counterpart, Ali Al Jasmi (50th Q), and Adel Khamis Mubarak (85th Q).
Also today, the Sultanate of Oman national team won over its Bahraini counterpart 4-1, in the match that was held at Al Nahyan Stadium, raising its score to 6 points, and the Bahrain national team remains without a score.

Our national team lost in the first round to its Omani counterpart 1/2, won the second round over its Bahraini counterpart 6-1, and in the third and final round over its Kuwaiti counterpart 2-0.
As for the Omani national team, it lost in the second round to Kuwait 0-1, and won the third round against Bahrain 4-1.
As for the Kuwaiti national team, it defeated Bahrain in the first round 1-0, Oman in the second round 1-0, and lost to our national team in the third round 0-2.
Our national team was crowned with the gold medal, with the advantage of total direct confrontations, with the competition teams.
