Sharjah, April 22 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, directed the university to establish a specialized center for managing the risks of rapid climate change, and to focus on specialized studies in the geographical and geological fields to redraw the paths of valleys and set warning sensors for their flow. His Highness’s directive comes in the wake of the weather depression that the country witnessed last week, which included a large amount of rain that the country had not witnessed previously.
