The year is 1989, one of Michael Jordan‘s most iconic moments is simply called “The Shot.” The shoes he was wearing when he hit the game-winning basket over Craig Ehlo and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the Nike Air Jordan 4 sneakers.

And to celebrate the 35th anniversary of that historic moment in Michael Jordan’s basketball history (May 7, 1989), Nike is re-releasing the Air Jordan 4 sneakers in a new North Carolina “blue industry” colorway for a new generation.

Retailing for $215, the Nike Air Jordan 4 sneakers are made from premium leather and suede-link Nubuck with a clean look and feel that’s retro, yet modern. They feature the “Jumpman” logo on their tongues, eye-catching netting, “Nike Air” logo on their heels, transparent air bubble in their midsoles and prominent wings on their collars that look classic — even though this design is 35 years old.

These sneakers come in an off-white, neutral gray and industrial blue colorway. Meanwhile, there’s also a new Nike Air Jordan 1 High G sneaker drop in a similar color scheme.

Nike

Last week, Nike re-released the Air Jordan 3 shoes in a white, sail, cement gray and cosmic clay colorway, while the sports apparel company has been releasing new versions of Air Jordan sneakers in the lead up to the brands 40th anniversary in 2025.

Now available for $215, the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro sneakers are unisex and come in men’s and women’s sizes, while the shoes also come in sizes for big kids, little kids and babies & toddlers with prices starting at $85 at nike.com.
