The Minister of Social Solidarity meets with the Ministry’s Asset Development Team to review the registration situation

Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, held a meeting with members of the Ministry’s Asset Development Team, in the presence of Mr. Hassan Mustafa, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Investment and Resource Development, and Dr. Sahar Etman, Director of the General Administration for Asset Investment, to follow up on the position of registering and announcing assets that have been registered in the Ministry, in addition to discussing investment opportunities. Which can be employed for the purpose of developing resources and mobilizing the revenues that the Ministry seeks to invest in for the benefit of the social and economic services that the Ministry provides for the benefit of the target groups, especially those who are most deserving of care.

 

Al-Qabbaj continued. During the meeting, the executive position of the administrative inventory of the Ministry’s assets was discussed, starting with the legal aspects that include registering and publicizing these assets of all types, including land and real estate, passing through the engineering aspects that include raising them geometrically and physically and registering them on the Ministry’s information maps, as well as the investment aspects that include studying opportunities for investment in partnership. With the private sector, and exploiting its revenues for the benefit of social and economic services for the target groups of the Ministry’s services, especially for the benefit of the groups most in need of care.

 

The work strategy in this regard has been reviewed, including the formation of a central work team and The local level, with guidance on designing a map showing the geographical locations of these assets across the Republic from a documented database that includes all the accurate data for all assets, for the first time after the Ministry finished uploading the coordinates over the past year 2023. 

 

The Minister of Social Solidarity confirmed that the Ministry has taken a number of important steps within the framework of the Ministry’s direction to use smart systems in managing all its data in light of the digital transformation methodology that the Ministry is promoting in line with the state’s strategy for implementing the Digital Egypt Strategy, and the strategy Inventorying and maximizing the use of state assets. Many of these assets are in administrative functions such as departments, social units, and administrative training centers, and technical functions such as care institutions, rehabilitation offices and centers, expatriate homes, female and male student hostels, working women’s service centers, centers for productive families, centers hosting women victims of violence, and other functions. 

 

The Minister of Social Solidarity has directed to re-upload the coordinates and engineering drawings of the Ministry’s assets that are located in strategic and commercial locations, with the goal of an axis for the Ministry that aspires to develop resources. The meeting also witnessed a review of work challenges, obstacles, and logistical procedures to facilitate work, as this allows for expansion in creating an investment environment in partnership with the private sector to advance social investment for the benefit of the ministry’s target groups.
