The President of the European Parliament arrives in Ukraine

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Mitsola, arrived today, Thursday, in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, wrote on Facebook, according to the Ukrainian News Agency (Ukrinform), that Ukraine celebrates “Europe Day” today.

 

He added: “It is proven that Our country daily demonstrates its commitment to the ideals and values ​​of democracy. Ideals and values ​​for which the brave and invincible Ukrainian people are fighting! For the right to be free! For the sake of its independence and sovereignty, and on this important day, I am pleased to welcome the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Mitsola, to Kiev.” He pointed out that the European Parliament is undoubtedly at the forefront of supporting Ukraine, saying: “The Parliament was the first institution in the European Union to call for granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union.”

He stated that “the European Parliament has always had a voice.” Strong when it comes to creating an international coalition to support our struggle for freedom and European values, supplying weapons to Ukraine and increasing sanctions pressure against Russia. “We will always appreciate it.” At the field level, the Crisis Management in the Krasnodar Region announced that a drone attack led to a fire and damage to several oil tanks in a refinery.

The administration added that about 6 drones were destroyed, but the debris fell on the refinery near the village of Yurovka, which led to a fire, explaining that several tanks were damaged as a result of the attack.

The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, had previously confirmed that Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units and mobile firing groups shot down 17 aircraft. The Ukrainian official added that the bombing that occurred in Kharkiv yesterday caused damage to a school building and residential complexes, and resulted in the injury of seven people, including four children, with injuries of varying severity. The bombing also caused damage to four private homes, a hospital, and a car in the village of Bely Kolodyaz in the Chuhiv region.
