2026 Hot Dog Eating Contest: Joey Chestnut cruises to another victory as he retains his crown at Coney Island

Joey Chestnut crushed the field yet again, tearing through 66 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to secure victory at the 2026 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The undisputed king of competitive eating secured his 18th career Mustard Belt in front of a packed Brooklyn crowd on Saturday afternoon.

While the 42-year-old fell short of his own mind-boggling world record of 76 dogs, his 10-minute onslaught was more than enough to blow past the rest of the field.

The dominant victory cements Chestnut’s legacy on America’s 250th birthday, proving once again that nobody on the planet can match his blistering eating pace.

Faced with a punishing summer heat wave wrapping around the iconic corner of Surf and Stillwell avenues, Chestnut took control of the table from the opening buzzer.

Chestnut established an immense multi-dog lead within the first two minutes, leaving rivals like Patrick Bertoletti fighting exclusively for second place.

As the final seconds ticked away, the capacity crowd erupted as the veteran champion methodically swallowed his way into the sport’s history books yet again.

Further down the card, the women’s division bore witness to an equally legendary dynasty as Miki Sudo absolutely dominated her side of the table.

Sudo captured her 12th career title by cleanly putting away 38.75 total hot dogs and buns within the grueling 10-minute time limit.

The standard-bearer for the women’s league showed zero signs of slowing down, out-eating her closest rivals to maintain her iron grip on the Pink Mustard Belt.
