A young mother who was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend at a motel had vowed not to be a victim of violence in a haunting update to her Facebook account prior to the grisly killing.
Malena Concha, 25, died after allegedly having her throat slashed by soccer player Enzo Chamorro, 26, Monday in Lomas de Zamora, a town outside the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.
Surveillance video showed the victim standing next to her boyfriend outside the Satélite motel waiting to book a room just hours before the alleged murder.
Separate footage showed Chamorro, who spent the previous two seasons with third division club Deportivo Camioneros, running through the motel parking lot three hours after allegedly killing Concha.
Concha’s untimely death comes more than four years after she updated her profile picture on Facebook to a photo of her posing playfully accompanied by the statement: ‘I was born to be free not to be murdered.’
Concha leaves behind a five-year-old daughter, whom she regularly referred to as her ‘best friend’ on her Facebook account.
‘I hope you are happy for the rest of your life,’ she wrote on the comment section of one of her daughter’s birthday party pictures, which have since been deleted.
‘There is nothing better than sleeping and waking up next to you, watching you grow step by step, making me happy every day for the things you are learning.

‘I feel like crying so much seeing you grow so fast and at the same time I am so happy.’
Concha, who worked as a hairdresser, posted on her Facebook page several times the day of death, with her final note saying simply, ‘Good times.’
On Monday, a worker at the motel told investigators that Chamorro approached the reception area around 5:30 pm local time and mentioned that he had to remove something from his vehicle.
The employee did not open the door for Chamorro, who immediately took off running and climbed over a gate before disappearing.
Concerned workers visited the couple’s room and found Concha unresponsive and leaning over the bathroom toilet.
Buenos Aires police searched Chamorro’s home after obtaining an emergency search warrant and found several objects stained with blood.
Cops were alerted of his location by an anonymous tipster and found him at an intersection near the facilities of second division soccer team Club Atlético Los Andes.
Chamorro led police on brief foot chase before he was finally caught and placed in custody.
