Voting begins in the House of Representatives elections for Egyptians abroad in Iran

The voting process for Egyptians residing in Iran in the current round of the 2025 House of Representatives elections began at exactly eight-thirty in the morning, Cairo time, as the Egyptian Embassy in Tehran opened its doors to receive voters at this specific time.

 

The voting process takes place amid full organizational preparations from the Egyptian diplomatic mission, which provided all the necessary facilities to complete the vote smoothly, with an emphasis on voters’ commitment to the approved procedures to ensure The electoral process runs efficiently.

The second phase of the House of Representatives elections will be held abroad over the course of Friday and Saturday, corresponding to the 21st and 22nd of November, inside 139 Egyptian embassies and consulates in 117 countries, while voting at home will begin on the 24th and 25th of this month, with the official result announced on the 2nd of December. In the event of a need for a runoff, voting will take place abroad on the 15th and 16th of next December, and at home on the 17th and 18th of the month. The results of the run-off round will be announced on December 25 of next year.

The committees supervising the polling, counting, and counting of votes shall be composed of a sufficient number of members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and they shall be assisted by one or more principal secretaries working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who shall be appointed by a decision from the National Elections Authority.

Voting abroad begins from nine in the morning until nine in the evening according to the time of the country in which the poll is taking place, as stated in the decision of the National Elections Authority.
