Vet spills the pet names that made him double take after years in the industry: ‘Patricia? This is not okay’
A vet has dished out the ‘funniest’ cat and dog names he’s ever heard – including Chairman Meow, Bark Wahlberg and Princess Potato.
Dr Amir Anwary, a popular veterinarian from South Africa, made a series of videos reenacting himself calling out the real pet names at his clinic.
In his amusing video about cat names, he said: ‘We’re ready for our next patient, can we please get Chairman Meow?’
The vet said it was a ‘great name’ for a cat, along with his favourite Kitty Purry.
Other unique names for felines included Wasabi, which he initially ‘hated’ but grew to ‘love’, and Queen Esmeralda Von Biscuit, who he recalled ‘didn’t behave like a queen’.
Looking unimpressed, Dr Anwary revealed his least favourite names – typically old-school monikers you’d expect to hear for a human.
‘Brenda. Who names a cat Brenda? That’s a middle-aged white woman,’ he joked.
Another name he couldn’t stand for a cat was Patricia.

‘Okay do you hate your cat? Patricia. This is not okay,’ he said.
‘OMG why would you do that to your cat?’
In another video, the vet shared a list of the best and funniest dog names, including Chewbarka, Sir Reginald Wigglebottom II, Princess Potato and Nugget.
‘Some people are just so creative with the pet names,’ he said.
However, one name didn’t sit well with him – Kevin, a classic name you’d normally associate with a man.
Many pet owners shared their cat and dog names, including Freddie Purcury, Lucy Furr, Kimchi, Bok Choy, Dolly Purrton, David Dingleberry Jones and Miss Menace.
‘I work with someone who has a blind cat named Billy Eyeless,’ one shared.
‘I had a pit named Frankie Sticky Paws,’ another shared.

‘Mine is called Theodore Woobles Bear,’ one revealed about their dog.
‘My German Shepherd is named Tater Tot,’ another added.
Meanwhile, many said they were huge fans of naming pets with human names.
