
Highly-rated college basketball prospect Elliot Cadeau has made the bold decision to withdraw himself from this year’s NBA Draft.
Instead, Cadeau will return to Michigan for his senior season after playing a key role in the Wolverines winning the national championship last month.
Michigan coach Dusty May revealed Cadeau, who was named the Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four, actually agreed a deal to return in April.
However, he still entered the draft process to gain experience ahead of his expected step up to the NBA next year.
‘Well, first with Elliot, the NBA Draft process was very beneficial for him,’ May said this week.
‘He’s able to get some feedback, go to some individual workouts and be prepared to go through the full experience next year.’

Cadeau tied a season high with 19 points in Michigan’s 69-63 victory over UConn in the national championship game.
He averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 assists in his first season with the program after two years at North Carolina.
Michigan has been busy reloading since winning its first national title since 1989 as they to repeat with nine newcomers.
Three players have been added from the transfer portal and two incoming freshman are joining four high school seniors who were signed in November.
May had to add an influx of talent because All-America player Yaxel Lendeborg exhausted his eligibility while Aday Mara and Morez Johnson Jr. declared for the NBA draft.
