George Kittle spotted at the airport with his suit as NFL star and his wife finally head to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding after severe delay
The first of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded guestlist have started to descend on New York City, including some of the NFL’s biggest names.
San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle and his wife Claire were spotted beginning their journey to the Big Apple, where Kelce and Swift are expected to tie the knot in the wedding of the century this week.
Kittle, who co-founded Tight End University with the Kansas City Chiefs star, and Claire were captured at Nashville Airport on Wednesday evening in a photo obtained by the Daily Mail.
The couple, who have been married for seven years themselves, were seen sitting at a bar in the terminal, keeping it relaxed in casual clothes.
However, the Niners tight end is ready to step into his finery for the big event as a suit bag hung on the back of his barstool.
Kittle, who revealed he had scored an invite to the exclusive nuptials, has kept relatively tight-lipped on details of the blockbuster ceremony.

However, he did reveal to Entertainment Tonight last week that the only thing he knew for certain was that he would be wearing a blue suit.
He also cut a dapper figure in a blue suit to last year’s NFL Honors award show and it appears it has now safely made the trip to New York.
Claire and Kittle’s journey wasn’t all plain sailing, however. The couple, who recently opened up on their IVF journey, revealed that they had experienced some travel issues.
Claire shared on her Instagram story that they had experienced severe delays. Their flight was supposed to depart at 5:30pm but had been pushed back to 8am on Thursday morning, forcing them to seemingly pass the time away at the airport bar.
NFL stars Kittle and Kelce have remained good friends away from the football field, even in spite of their rivalry on it with Kelce playing for San Francisco’s Super Bowl competitors, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kittle, 32, was even a guest on Kelce’s New Heights podcast on Wednesday, which he co-hosts with his older brother Jason.
And Kittle’s friendship with Swift was clear for all to see last week when the singer made a point of dedicating her performance of Love Story to him on stage last week.
‘This was a very special request from a very special tight end,’ Swift told fans, per footage shared on social media. ‘He wanted to hear this particular song and that tight end … is named George Kittle.’

Kittle joked last week that Kelce was ‘warming up’ for the wedding by hosting their Tight End University event so close to tying the knot.
‘He’s got the great energy and love for the boys’ Kittle said. ‘We’ll be there (at the wedding), I’ll be there.’
But Kittle did then reveal one of the few rules that Swift and Kelce are imposing on guests for the big day.
‘I don’t have expectations but I know it is going to be amazing,’ he added. ‘They said absolutely no gifts.
‘But I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might get him an old coin. Sounds expensive, too.’
Kelce and Swift are set to officially tie the knot at Madison Square Garden in NYC on July 3, with more than 1000 guests in attendance.
A smaller, more intimate rehearsal dinner for the couple’s closest 100 friends and family will be held at the Infosys Theater inside MSG on July 2 – it is unclear if the Kittles would attend.
