One of television’s biggest award nights is over – but now the real prizes can begin… it’s time to crown the best and worst dressed of the 2026 Emmys.

Hosted by Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay, the annual occasion returned to Los Angeles’s Peacock Theater on Monday night, with medical drama The Pitt taking home awards from a spectacular 25 nominations. 

But while the night celebrated on-screen triumphs, it was the show-stopping red carpet looks that truly stole the spotlight.

As the stars posed for the cameras, a few clear trends began to stand out; dramatic plunging necklines, bold whites, metallics, fluorescent sequins, all led by the likes of Zendaya, Selena Gomez and Nicole Kidman.

While some A-listers played it safe in timeless black and classic Hollywood red, others shocked fans with an array of bizarre, questionable outfits featuring oversized trousers, feather frocks, emerald-silk suits and even metallic gold body paint.
