Murderer steals truck after slipping through fence to escape prison | News

A convicted murderer slipped through a fence to escape prison before stealing a truck and driving 120 miles before disappearing.

Jacob Allen Morley was spotted on surveillance video at 1am on Monday (October 26) approximately two miles from the Northwest Correctional Complex near Tiptonville, Tennessee, stealing a truck from a farm.

The truck was found abandoned Tuesday in Marion, Illinois, more than one hundred miles from where it was stolen. The local police chief says Morley has “vanished”.

Morley, 28, was sentenced to life in 2022 for the killing of his co-worker Cody Birchfield.
