Megyn Kelly eviscerates Trump for ‘ruining’ GOP with his greed and gaggle of ‘grifters’ in wake of midterms bloodbath

Megyn Kelly blasted President Donald Trump for ruining the Republican Party with his greed and gaggle of ‘grifters’ in the wake of the midterms bloodbath.
Kelly, a registered Independent who says she is ‘more right-leaning,’ tore into Trump on Wednesday after the Democrats made history overnight by winning the House and the Senate.
The political commentator did not hold back when criticizing Trump, who has been called a lame duck following the massive blue wave.
‘No one had any interest or appetite in anything related to Donald Trump, it was a harbinger of things to come,’ Kelly told her viewers.
‘Then they showed up and voted last night, and said the same to him: “We’re no longer interested in the Trump show. We’re over the antics, the grift, the making money off of the backs of the American people who just wanted you to help them”,’ Kelly said.
She went on to say that Trump’s presidency is a ‘missed opportunity.’
‘To surround yourself with a field of grifters who want to make money off of the presidency as opposed to serve, be actual public servants in a humble role that was never meant to make someone a million or billionaire.
‘It’s incredibly disheartening, and it’s such a missed opportunity. It’s such a missed opportunity by this president, who had the world at his feet, in his hands, who had so many of us believing in him,’ Kelly continued.

Despite her seething comments about Trump, Kelly gave some advice to the rest of the MAGA community.
‘But the Republicans have an opportunity here… I do believe that this is finally the chance for the Republican Party to not throw away MAGA core ideals, which are good, which are important, and which Trump should be credited for thrusting upon the American people who refused to listen to him, upon the political class which refused to listen to people like the working class suffering, but they need to take the good, discard the bad, and come up with a new way forward.
‘And they’re going to have to find their own new, charismatic, honest, ethical leader. You can’t ride the Trump coattails anymore. They are non-existent. He cannot save you.’
She kicked off her latest episode by referring to Vice President JD Vance publicly blaming the Iran war, a fight Trump spearheaded, on why a majority of Americans voted blue.
‘You don’t have to take my word for it, take the word of his own vice president,’ Kelly said before reading Vance’s lengthy X post that places blame on Trump for the election results.
He also listed all the other reasons the party lost, appealing to Republican voters to give the party another chance in the future of the MAGA movement.
‘The reason we lost is the war. The President himself said so last night,’ he said.
Vance sent a strong message to supporters of the Iran war, demanding that they take responsibility for pushing the US to act in the Middle East.

And not soon after Vance posted, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr, joined in the criticism of his father
‘If you’d like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so,’ he said.
‘Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that’s at least honest.’
Vance posted his reaction to the election just moments before he arrived in his motorcade at the White House for private meetings.
The President retreated into the White House for private policy meetings with no public events scheduled overnight on Wednesday. But in the early afternoon, he summoned the press to his ballroom.
And not long after Vance posted, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr, joined in the criticism of his father.
Trump’s eldest son responded to Vance’s post, writing: ‘every word of this is…’ before adding three hundred point emojis.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, another staunch Trump ally, also eviscerated the president after election day.
DeSantis called the results of the midterms a ‘close to an extinction-level event for Republicans in many parts of the country’ and singled out the Democratic wins in the Texas governor and Senate races in what he called ‘the crown jewel of Republican politics.’
James Talarico was elected to the state’s Senate, making him the first Democrat to do so since 1988. Gina Hinojosa was also elected the new governor of the Lone Star State, replacing Greg Abbott, starting next year.

‘Let’s just be clear, that is going to hurt, not just for the next two years, that’s something that can reverberate for the next decade or more,’ he said at a press conference in Tallahassee on Wednesday.
‘And if the Republican Party doesn’t have Texas as an anchor, then we are not going to be viable nationally going forward.’
DeSantis had already turned on the administration before the results came in, warning in a podcast interview that Republicans who refused to admit the Iran war had driven up gas prices were ‘gaslighting’ voters.
‘Gas is higher. It hurts working-class people, and it’s higher because of this conflict. That’s just a fact. If you can’t admit that to voters, then you’re gaslighting them, and they’re not gonna listen to you on other things,’ DeSantis told Stephen A. Smith.
He branded the war a ‘big drag’ on the party and said that had it been wrapped up as quickly as the Venezuela operation ‘it probably wouldn’t have been an issue.’
