Apparently I’m A Celebrity All Stars Is In The Works For 2027

This is not a drill. After years of speculation, an All-Star version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is being seriously considered for Australia.

It all comes off the back of the UK’s recent All-Stars season, which concluded last month and was a huge success.

Filmed in South Africa and stacked with returning fan faves (including two former winners), the series pulled massive numbers for ITV, reportedly hitting around four million viewers per episode and outperforming heavyweights like Coronation Street. So yeah, people noticed.

“The numbers have been huge! Completely exceeded expectations,” a production insider told PEDESTRIAN.TV. “Australia has definitely taken notice, and now it’s about how quickly they can make their own version happen.”

Who would appear on an All-Stars version of I’m A Celebrity?

While the show’s producers had previously expressed concerns about an All-Stars series, fearing that the returning contestants wouldn’t keep the show fresh, the UK version proved the opposite.

“There was concern they’d just be impersonating themselves or trying to recreate old moments,” the source explained. “These celebs came back with more to give. They’re more self-aware, more open, and viewers are loving it.”

As for the Australian version, producers are sitting on a casting goldmine with over 170 previous contestants to choose from.

“There are so many personalities to pull from,” the source says. “People who want redemption, people with unfinished business. It’s all there.”

Season two winner Brendan Fevola is said to be high on the producers’ wish list, alongside fan favourites who came so close to winning the first time around. Season seven champ Abbie Chatfield has also previously said on her podcast, It’s A Lot, that she would be keen to re-enter the jungle alongside social media star Max Balegde.

Not everyone is keen to go back, though. Early seasons of the Aussie version were notoriously brutal, including long filming schedules, intense conditions, and full jungle chaos, and some former contestants are reportedly still traumatised.

“There are definitely a few who’ve said ‘never again’,” the insider shared, including season one power duo Chrissie Swan and Joel Creasey.

So when could this actually happen?

If things move quickly, insiders said that filming could happen later this year, with a premiere pencilled in for April 2027.

“It’s very real,” the source shared. “This isn’t just an idea anymore. It’s something they’re actively working towards.”

Because if the UK version proved anything, it’s this: sometimes going back into the jungle is exactly what reality TV needs.
