Blind ‘psychic’ Baba Vanga’s prophecy warns humanity is on the brink of a terrifying change

A blind psychic credited by followers with foreseeing 9/11 and the COVID pandemic has been linked to an extraordinary prediction for 2027.

Baba Vanga, the Bulgarian mystic who died just over 30 years ago, allegedly warned that a mysterious disease or genetic experiment would produce people displaying ‘superhuman-like’ traits.

The supposed prophecy offers no details about their abilities or how the transformation would occur, fueling theories ranging from secret gene editing to biological warfare.

According to the modern account, the biological changes would affect only some people after exposure to a new disease or some form of genetic experimentation.

However, the prophecy does not explain whether ‘superhuman’ means enhanced strength or intelligence, resistance to illness or simply symptoms never previously recorded by medicine.

It also leaves unclear whether the event would result from a natural outbreak, an accidental laboratory release or a deliberate attempt to alter human biology.

The 2027 prophecy comes as Vanga’s followers believe there are three more of her predictions left to occur this year, after claiming two of the five she gave have already come to pass.

The last three reportedly involve the arrival of a massive spacecraft, the beginning of a third world war and a dramatic change in Russia’s leadership before the end of 2026.

Vanga left no written records of her predictions. Most of the accounts come from her niece, Krasimira Stoyanova, or other followers who documented her alleged visions after her death and who have been accused of misinterpreting what she said.

Born in 1911 as Vangeliya Pandeva Dimitrova, she was a famous blind Bulgarian mystic, clairvoyant and herbalist. 

She lost her sight at age 12 after being caught in a tornado, an event that coincided with the emergence of her purported psychic abilities.

After turning 30, her powers of foresight, healing, and fortune-telling became prominent, attracting believers who sought her guidance.

She made numerous prophecies, often vague, about natural disasters, political shifts and future technologies, some of which supporters claim foretold events like the Kursk submarine disaster, Brexit and the rise of ISIS.

One of her most famous predictions was the attack on New York City’s Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.

‘Two metal birds will crash into our American brothers, wolves will howl from the bushes and the blood of the innocent will flow in the rivers,’ she predicted.

While she has legions of followers, experts warn her prophecies are speculative and not grounded in fact. 

Vanga’s 2027 prophecy, reported on by Vt, suggests the development would permanently divide humanity, leaving a small group with abilities beyond those of ordinary people.

It does not reveal whether these ‘superhumans’ would pose a threat to society or represent the next stage of human evolution, making the ultimate consequences of their emergence impossible to determine.

While the prophecy is at least months away from happening, Baba Vanga’s three 2026 prophecies are still looming.

Believers have connected that prediction to a deadly 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar in March, causing widespread destruction and killing thousands.

They have also pointed to severe heat and wildfires across Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, along with flash floods in parts of Asia and violent spring and summer storms in the US.

However, the prophecy appears to contain few details about the timing, location or nature of the supposed disasters.

Earthquakes, floods, wildfires and damaging storms also occur somewhere in the world every year, allowing a broadly worded prediction to be linked to numerous unrelated events.

Her second forecast involved machines beginning to replace humans across the workplace on a substantial scale.

However, AI had already been developing for decades, and it remains unclear when Vanga supposedly made the prediction or precisely what she said.

The three unfulfilled prophecies attributed to her are far more dramatic.

Perhaps the most extraordinary is the claim that humanity will make contact with extraterrestrial life after a ‘massive spaceship’ enters Earth’s atmosphere.

The alleged encounter is reportedly set to happen in November, giving believers a specific window in which to judge the prediction. 

Vanga’s most frightening political prediction reportedly concerned the outbreak of a third world war.

Interpretations of the prophecy claim China would attempt to seize Taiwan while tensions between Russia and the US escalated into a direct military confrontation.

Although international tensions remain heightened and the war in Ukraine continues, neither of those predicted events has occurred as of August 7.

Taiwan remains self-governed, and Russia and the US have not entered a direct war.

The final outstanding forecast involves Russian president Vladimir Putin losing power and being replaced by a new leader before the end of the year.

Putin has dominated Russian politics for more than 18 years across two periods in the presidency and shows no public indication that he intends to step aside.

Followers have cited pressure created by the war in Ukraine and recurring speculation surrounding Putin’s health as potential signs that a change could be approaching.

However, rumors about the Russian leader’s health and political future have circulated for years without producing his departure.
