While I would love to talk about the Championship final day, this is a Premier League blog, so I have to write about that.

I have to be honest, it wasn’t the most thrilling day in the top flight yesterday. It was one of the quietest afternoons this season.

There was one surprise, mind.

Arsenal were stunned by Bournemouth in their own backyard before their crunch match with PSG in midweek.

Declan Rice calmly put the Gunners into a deserved lead in the first half, and a full-strength Arsenal looked like they had found their groove.

But they just never got going in the second half, and slowly but surely, Bournemouth started to threaten more and more.

Eventually, they managed to break down the Arsenal defence with boyhood Gunner Anotine Semenyo launching a quite mental throw-in into the area for Dean Huijsen to head home.

Then, less than 10 minutes later, the Cherries completed a quite wonderful comeback with Evanilson bundling home from close range.

Elsewhere, Ipswich came from two goals down to draw at Everton, Leicester picked up a rare win over Southampton, and Aston Villa got a valuable three points against Fulham
