Caitlin Clark fan thrown out of game after rival WNBA star was left furious over explosive courtside exchange
A male WNBA fan was ejected from the Indiana Fever’s game against the Connecticut Sun Tuesday night after leaving one player visibly upset.
The man, who was wearing Caitlin Clark’s No 22 jersey, was sat courtside for the showdown at TD Garden in Boston before being kicked out during the second quarter.
The ejection came after an apparent altercation with the Sun’s rookie guard Saniya Rivers, according to the IndyStar.
DailyMail.com has contacted the Connecticut Sun for comment.
According to multiple reporters at the game, Rivers was ‘visibly upset’ after the interaction with the fan after he said something to her.
Rivers went over to officials and spoke to them for a lengthy period before security took the man out of his seat next to the Sun’s bench.
One report from Sun sideline reporter Terrika Foster-Brasby said that Rivers was touched by the fan.
