Caitlin Clark sparks major All-Star fears as her status for Fever’s clash against Liberty is officially revealed

Caitlin Clark’s status for the WNBA All-Star Game has been thrown into doubt as the Fever star is set to miss yet another game through injury.

Clark had already missed time with a left groin injury this season and tweaked her right groin in her team’s win over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday.

And the following day, her team announced  that the reigning Rookie of the Year is set to miss her 10th regular season game of the season with a right groin injury.

The injury will keep her out of Indiana’s trip to the Liberty on Wednesday, and it could also rule her out of the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday.

Clark is meant to captain her own team after winning the All-Star fan vote, and she is also scheduled to appear in the three-point content.

The game is also set to take place at the Fever’s home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

WNBA star Caitlin Clark was seen holding back tears after suffering yet another injury setback

Clark appeared to hold back tears after injuring her groin towards the end of her team’s 85-77 win over Connecticut.

She had only just returned from a groin issue on the opposite side – which saw her miss four regular season game (and the Commissioner’s Cup final) – while a left quad injury also sidelined her for five games earlier this year.

Clark didn’t sit out any games in her college career or rookie season with the Fever.

She was listed as ‘questionable’ to play against the Liberty prior to being ruled out.

Despite making the All-Star Game, Clark’s injury woes have shown up on the stat sheet this year.

She’s shooting just 36.7 percent from the field (down from 41.7 last year) and just 27.9 percent from three (down from 34.4 percent in her rookie season).

Against Connecticut, she struggled once again from the field as she shot just 4-of-14 overall and 1-of-7 from deep.

And after Clark injured herself once again, her brother Colin implied that the game’s referees were responsible for her getting hurt.

‘Make no mistake, this is on the reffing,’ he said.
