Career of top women’s footy star is on a knife-edge over off-field problem – after she shocked fans with ‘kill b**ches’ comment and drunk-drove a jet ski

The future of a top women’s footy star has been left under a cloud of uncertainty.
West Coast Eagles star Jess Hosking is reportedly spending time away from the football club as she ‘works through the details’ of an off-field issue.
The Herald Sun claims the matter could ‘jeopardise’ her position at the club.
The AFLW star, who joined the Eagles from Richmond ahead of the 2024 season, has also been spending some time back at home in Victoria as she deals with the matter.
It comes as the rest of her team-mates returned to pre-season training on Monday, but the popular 29-year-old midfielder was not present.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the West Coast Eagles for comment.

Back in 2022 Hosking was issued an official warning by the AFL after the former Tigers star was seen with a violent message written on her arm during a match
Hosking, who made eight appearances for the Eagles last season, came under fire back in 2022, after she was pictured with a violent message inscribed on some strapping on her arm while playing for Richmond.
The midfielder, who is the twin sister of Tigers star Sarah Hosking, had been playing for the Tigers during their 36-point semi-final defeat against North Melbourne but the message: ‘Kill b***hes’ was visible on her right arm before the match.
Underneath the message, she had also written the words: ‘Have fun.’
The AFL later confirmed it had issued a ‘please explain’ notification to Hosking over the incident, which was not the first time she had inscribed a violent message on her shoulder strapping.
During the club’s qualifying final match against Brisbane, she had also written the words: ‘Smash b***hes’ on her arm.
Other messages were also seen on her strapping, including the words ‘CleftPals’, which appeared to be a nod of support to a charity, after she was born with a cleft lip and palate.
The footy star was handed an official warning from the league over the ‘kill b***hes’ message, with the footy star subsequently issuing an apology.
‘Hosking was extremely remorseful and deeply disappointed in her actions,’ a statement from the AFL read.
‘The AFL has since accepted a letter of apology from Jess and has issued an official warning to the club and Jess regarding the offensive language.’

She would make eight appearances for the West Coast during the 2024 season but has not returned for her side’s first pre-season training session on Monday
Later that year, the AFLW star avoided a conviction for drink driving a jetski during a holiday on the Gold Coast.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to one charge of driving over the middle alcohol limit on a personal watercraft but had avoided a conviction for the incident.
A court was told that a conviction could affect her social wellbeing, with magistrate Rob Turra ultimately handing her an $800 fine.
In November 2023, Hosking parted company with the Tigers, who confirmed they would not be renewing her contract for 2024.
She had been sidelined for most of the 2023 season with an ankle injury but had been a regular face in the Tigers’ first team since then.
Speaking to Code Sports last year, Hosking said: ‘I was made out to be this kind of bad girl, Aussie bogan getting caught on a jetski and with some slang on my arm,’ Hosking told Code Sports last year.
‘Someone had to be made an example of. And I’m glad it was me because I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I went through.’
