A Georgia high school football game erupted into a chaotic brawl that sent attendees running and ended with a gun on the ground and several arrests including three teenagers.
The boys, aged 16, 17 and 18, became involved in a fight during the Newnan High School and East Coweta High School football game Friday night, resulting in five people being taken into custody, according to WSB-TV 2 News.
Dramatic video shared to Facebook by 11Alive captured a group of boys launching into the violent confrontation, punching and shoving each other to the ground as the surrounding crowd scrambled away.
Meanwhile, two other fistfights appeared to break out on either side of the scuffle.
Several deputies and a GSP trooper then raced onto Garland Shoemake Stadium, splitting up to restrain those involved and wrestle them to the ground.
Bystanders scrambled to flee the chaos, with some appearing to get caught up in the fighting while others backed away to record.
The footage ended with uniformed officers ordering the crowd to leave as several young men are led away in handcuffs.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said the altercation broke out near the home-side concession stand around halftime. It remains unclear how many of those involved, if any, were students, according to WSB-TV.

A gun was found abandoned on the ground after the fight, though investigators determined it had not been fired.
Police are now trying to determine who brought it onto school grounds.
The five remain in custody as authorities determine the next steps, including whether they will be formally booked or charged.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among those detained or anyone else at the game.
In a statement to WSB, Coweta County School System Safety Director Danielle Rosa praised deputies for their quick response and swift action in bringing the escalating brawl to an end.
‘We had a strong presence on hand to monitor and respond immediately when this occurred at tonight’s game, and I am grateful for the high level of cooperation and coordination we continue to have here,’ she said.
