Creep accused of filming dozens of naked women in California gym WALKS FREE after he’s charged with just a misdemeanor because of state’s lax laws

A California man remains on the loose after being charged with secretly recording naked women in a Planet Fitness tanning booth.
Kyle Combs, 40, of Grover Beach, has an arrest warrant out for him after the San Luis Obispo District Attorney’s Office charged him with 12 misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy.
Combs is accused of secretly recording at least 47 women while they were partially to fully nude inside an Arroyo Grande Planet Fitness tanning booth between July and December 2025.
‘Secretly recording women while they are nude inside tanning booths is a deeply disturbing violation of privacy, dignity, and personal security,’ District Attorney Dan Dow said in a statement.
‘People using a gym or fitness center should never have to fear that they are being watched or recorded in one of their most private moments.’
Eight women have sued Combs and Planet Fitness, according to the New York Post.
One of the lawsuits accused Combs of picking locks to access the tanning booths and sticking his phone inside to obtain footage of women.
Combs has not been arrested as of Saturday afternoon.

A judge has signed an arrest warrant and set his bail at $50,000, the DA said.
He was charged with misdemeanors due to the current law in California, the DA explained.
‘Readers may be justifiably disturbed to learn that, under current California law, allegations involving secretly recording multiple nude victims in private tanning booths are generally chargeable only as misdemeanors unless additional circumstances exist,’ he said in a statement.
‘If the public believes this conduct should be punishable as a felony, that change must come from the California Legislature.’
He urged residents to contact their state representatives to push for a change.
The DA’s office also believes there are more victims, but due to statute of limitations, they cannot prosecute those incidents.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Combs and Planet Fitness for comment.
