Fenerbahce vs Liverpool – Champions League: Reds look to bounce back from Gunners defeat in Istanbul before Arsenal and Manchester City take to the stage

We have to talk about last night, don’t we?
We have all witnessed many a remarkable comeback at Old Trafford but what we saw at the Theatre of Dreams yesterday evening was right up there with the best.
Once Donyell Malen bagged Roma’s second goal in the first half, following Matias Soule’s opener, I really thought that both Michael Carrick and his side were toast.
Boos echoed around the ground at half-time and it seemed like United were heading for yet anotehr loss.
But then it all went a bit mental. Bruno Fernandes bagged one goal back from the spot (at the second time of asking) and United were on their way.
Matheus Cunha then scored two in three minutes late on to set off scenes we haven’t seen in that stadium for quite some time. Even a red card for the Brazilian in stoppage time couldn’t dampen the mood, United had won a game at last – and in some style.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa were swept aside 3-0 by Barcelona at the Nou Camp whil Bayern Munich won away at Atletico Madrid.
It was a cracker of a night.
