Football fans fume as Jason Kelce pops up in NFL Network booth for latest high-profile media appearance: ‘We have gone too far’
Football fans reached saturation point with Jason Kelce early on Sunday morning when the analyst popped up in the NFL Network booth for the Colts-Commanders London game.
Kelce has been steadily increasing his airtime over the past few months, adding to his regular ESPN Monday Night Countdown slot with various assignments.
The latest of which is his arrival to NFL Network, where he is moving from the desk to the booth to become a color commentator for the league’s International Games.
The first of which came in London on Sunday, with Washington taking on Indianapolis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kelce was introduced just before kickoff, alongside Dave Pasch and Kurt Warner, and fans immediately took to social media to share their dismay at his presence.
‘I’m sick of Jason Kelce… stop jamming him down our throats,’ one wrote, while another viewer added: ‘Yea I’m not starting my day with Jason Kelce. We’ll just tap the mute button.’

As the game began, another fan noticed an early error when Kelce appeared to mistakenly call Colts receiver Josh Downs ‘Josh Dobbs’ in his call.
Much of the recent ire towards Kelce comes off the back of his YouTube TV ‘NFL Sunday Ticket’ commercial alongside wife Kylie, which has been airing in the breaks of almost every NFL game broadcast in the US in recent weeks.
The commercial shows the pair panicking as they prepare to hosts friends for an NFL Sunday watch party, and has led to viral tweets poking fun at their acting skills.
In addition, Jason hosts a weekly New Heights podcast alongside his brother Travis, husband of Taylor Swift and star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Outside of the NFL, he has also been used by ESPN in multiple different sports, including a surprise appearance at The Masters back in April.

He has also hosted his own late-night show, which was trashed by fans and canceled after one season.
Until recently, Kelce had been an incredibly popular NFL analyst, breathing fresh air into ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast and providing humor and light-hearted analysis.
Seemingly now, though, his near-daily appearance on the airwaves is starting to grate on loyal football fans.
