‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Hits Nielsen Ratings Record With 320 Weeks on Top 10

“Grey’s Anatomy” has made 320 appearances on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings, more than any other series in the charts’ history.
The long-running ABC medical drama beat and continues to reset a record previously held by “NCIS,” which is still in second place with 299 weeks on the charts. Of the 320 weeks achieved by “Grey’s Anatomy,” 22 were at the No. 1 position of the acquired titles chart, which ranks streaming viewership for series that previously aired elsewhere. The series has been the top acquired title for the last three viewing windows measured by Nielsen, spanning from March 2 to March 16. It also frequently makes it onto the overall streaming Top 10, with 192 appearances total — the second-most of all time after “NCIS.”
The mega-presence of “Grey’s Anatomy” on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 is especially clear when looking at the measurement company’s annual data reports. In 2024 and 2025, it was the No. 2 most-streamed title overall behind animated preschool series “Bluey,” reaching more than 40 billion minutes watched both years. In 2023, it was the No. 4 most-streamed series with 38.6 billion minutes.
All episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” stream on Hulu, where new episodes of the currently airing 22nd season become available next-day after airing on ABC. The Nielsen total combines Hulu viewership of “Grey’s Anatomy” with that of Netflix, which hosts the first 21 seasons.
