Indian Navy to commission indigenous warship Samarthak on October 16

Built by Larsen & Toubro Ltd under the Government of India’s Make in India initiative, Samarthak is designed primarily for maritime surveillance and patrol.
The vessel can undertake Low Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO), serve as a platform for target deployment and trials, and function as a mothership for unmanned and autonomous systems. It is also equipped for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), can be converted into a limited hospital ship and can undertake salvage operations.
