JISOO conquers the elements in Salomon’s winter campaign

The nights are drawing in, and winter will be upon us sooner than we think. For Salomon, that means the unveiling of its latest autumn/winter collection, fronted by none other than JISOO in her first campaign for the brand since being unveiled as global ambassador back in May.
Aptly titled In The Open, the campaign explores winter’s ever-changing conditions, extending Salomon’s decades of mountain expertise into everyday life and the way we move between city streets and outdoor environments. That idea runs throughout the campaign imagery, which sees JISOO set against a moody cityscape.
“I naturally prefer light and comfortable movement in my everyday life, so I feel that Salomon is a great fit
for me because it provides comfort regardless of the weather or environment.” says the Korean singer and member of Blackpink. “I love how versatile Salomon footwear is, making it suitable for both everyday wear and outdoor activities,” she continues. “It was a pleasure to experience and explore the Winter Season collection through my first global campaign with Salomon.”
On a more technical level, the In The Open capsule collection features three shoes designed to perform according to different purposes and environments. Firstly, the XT-6 Protective takes its city-centred silhouette in a more rugged direction, with materials and construction adding extra durability and texture. A reimagining of the much-loved XT-Whisper, meanwhile, utilises GORE-TEX for the first time, adapted to deal with all elements. And finally, an update to the XT-4 OG also adds GORE-TEX, adding extra weather protection to the trail running icon.
The XT franchise was developed for challenging conditions from the outset. And, as we roll through autumn and into winter, these latest updates add even more grip, protection, and resilience, from mountain slopes to city streets.
