Matthew Hayden is reunited with his glamorous daughter as duo vow to bring a new level of ‘crazy’ to T20 World Cup

Aussie cricket great Matthew Hayden and his daughter Grace are set to unite to work on the ICC’s broadcasting channels during the 2026 T20 Cricket World Cup.
The father-daughter duo were unveiled as presenters over the weekend, with the ICC stating that they had vowed to ‘bring more crazy to the T20 World Cup’.
On Saturday, Grace and her dad took to Instagram to post a snap of themselves at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo ahead of Pakistan’s three-wicket victory against the Netherlands.
‘Hayden duo is back! Ready for the T20 World Cup,’ the pair captioned the Instagram snap.
The ICC also published a clip of Grace on Instagram introducing herself to viewers, before posing next to her legendary dad.
After initially having worked in fashion, she switched over to working in broadcasting in 2022 and joined Channel 7, working on the network’s racing coverage.

The move presents another big step in Grace’s broadcasting career, with the Australian presenter having recently wrapped on Sony’s Australian Open talk show Extraaa Serve
While still in the fledgling years of her broadcasting career, Grace has already worked across a breadth of major sports, having recently fronted Sony Sports Network’s Australian Open coverage in India for the broadcaster’s show Extraaa Serve.
At the end of 2025, Grace travelled to the Middle East to work on the International League T20. It came after a busy year, with the Australian having also previously worked on the Delhi Premier League and the Caribbean Premier League.
Also a keen golfer, Grace briefly returned home at the end of last year to feature in the BMW Australian PGA Championship pro-am event at Royal Queensland.
However, her latest venture, alongside her dad, is one of the biggest yet.
She kicked off her coverage over the weekend by presenting a preview show for Zimbabwe’s clash against Oman on Monday. Zimbabwe would go on to claim an eight-wicket victory.
Grace also sent the cricketing world into hysterics after she took to Instagram during the 2025-26 Ashes series to thank Joe Root for ending his long and agonising wait to score a century Down Under during the second Test at The Gabba.
It came after her dad had admitted that he would run around the MCG naked if Root didn’t finally score a Test century in Australia.
She wrote on social media: ‘Thank God! Root, thank you. You’ve saved all our eyes!’
Hayden, who scored 8,625 runs across 103 Tests for Australia, has worked alongside his daughter previously, presenting coverage of the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar series

Matthew is considered one of the greats to have worn the Baggy Green cap, scoring 8,625 runs across 103 Test matches.
This will not be the first time he and his daughter have worked together on TV, with the father-daughter duo having both worked for Star Sports’ on their coverage of the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar series.
