‘Michael Jackson: The Verdict’ Premiere Date & Trailer Set At Netflix

Netflix‘s docuseries Michael Jackson: The Verdict has set the premiere date for June 3.

The three-part docuseries, directed by Nick Green and told by key players inside the courtroom, dissects the trial of Michael Jackson and his complex legacy.

Produced by Candle True Stories, the docuseries was executive produced by Fiona Stourton, James Goldston, and David Herman, who also served as showrunner.

“He’s the most famous man in the world being accused of the most heinous crime in the world,” says one of the docuseries players.

The 2005 criminal trial saw Michael Jackson charged with molesting an underage boy at his Neverland Ranch estate in California.

In the trailer, another key player in the case says, “We believe he was a criminal and he was able to get away with it because of his fame and celebrity.”

Jackson was ultimately found not guilty on all 10 counts, and the Netflix series will feature jury members from the trial who will give insight into how they reached that verdict.

Michael Jackson: The Verdict premieres on Netflix, with renewed interest in the singer’s life spurring interest following the success of the Michael film. The Antoine Fuqua-directed biopic stops short of exploring Jackson’s later life and instead focuses on his early life and rise to fame.

Michael has continued to top the box office and, four weeks after its release, has accumulated over $700M worldwide.
