Midwest construction crew rescues adorable orange kitten from engine and ‘HIRES’ her to work with them
An adorable orange kitten has become an internet star after being rescued from a piece of construction equipment by a team of workers.
Chase Guello, a supervisor at River Reach Construction in Barberton, Ohio, spotted the mewing kitty trapped in a Komatsu excavator.
He rescued the animal in a comical video shared late last month which saw the confused stray drop out of the bottom of the equipment.
Guello and his brother named the cat Sue, after the Komatsu-branded machinery she was found inside.
A video of the rescue quickly swept the internet, with Komatsu even donating an adorable hi-viz vest and hard hat for Sue to wear.
Guello said he and his coworkers looked hard for Sue’s mother but were unable to find her, so took her to a local cat foster family for medical attention.
Sue has since been adopted by another member of the construction crew and hired as an honorary member.

Crew members have shared that the brand Komatsu has shipped Sue a gift package including a tiny safety vest and hard hat for her to wear
A Midwest construction company has gone viral after catching adorable orange kitten rescue from an engine on camera.
River Reach shared a statement on their Facebook that said:
‘We think Sue is ready for the job site! Huge thank you to Komatsu North America for the continued support, and an even bigger thank you to all of you for the incredible love you’ve shown this little one. We truly appreciate every like, comment, and message. It means more than you know.’
Guello said Sue will be cared for by Jared, their shop mechanic, as she has been hired as the company’s official ‘shop cat.’
River Reach Construction team continued to post weekly kitten updates for their dedicated followers to see.
One user wrote: ‘She’s the new Supurrrrrvisor on-site! Love the kitten gear!’
Others said: ‘Sue is so cute with her equipment ready to get to work. She needs a tiny crew to supervise’ and ‘Her job title: cuteness coordinator’
