Plane passenger is ‘tackled and bound’ on flight to Sydney after alleged aggressive behaviour

A passenger on an international flight into Sydney had to be restrained after becoming aggressive mid-air.

Passengers aboard an Emirates flight claimed the man became erratic about six hours before the plane was due to land in Sydney on Thursday.

It’s understood he was restrained using cable ties, the Daily Telegraph reported.

‘He’s been trussed up in a seat since then,’ a passenger said. 

The incident was treated as a mental health episode and the passenger was taken to hospital for assessment.
