Rams star arrested on domestic battery charge after LAPD officers spotted scratch marks on woman’s arm

A Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman has been arrested on charges of suspected domestic battery on Monday evening.

Alaric Jackson was arrested at around 11:00pm in his home in the San Fernando Valley after police were called there.

Police say they learned Jackson and a woman had gotten into a verbal argument after they arrived.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Jackson believed the woman was recording him with her phone, leading to the star allegedly attempting to take the phone out of her hand.

The LAPD says the woman had scratch marks on her arms.

Jackson was arrested for felony domestic battery and his bail has been set at $50,000.

Jackson has been with the Rams ever since they drafted him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Iowa.

He then won Super Bowl LVI with the team, but hasn’t earned many other accolades.

Last season, Jackson signed a three-year, $56.3million contract which will see him earn a base salary of $18.925m this season.

There is a potential out in his contract that kicks in before next season, which would allow him to be a free agent at the age of 30.
