‘Ransom Canyon’ Unveils First Look and Sets Season 2 Release Date

“Ransom Canyon” is officially returning this summer, with Netflix announcing that Season 2 will premiere on July 23. The eight-episode second season will continue the sweeping western drama, alongside newly released first-look images and an official synopsis.

Set against the backdrop of Texas Hill Country, the series follows interconnected families navigating love, legacy and long-held rivalries in a tight-knit town. According to the official synopsis, Season 2 “picks up six months after the events of the first season, with rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) fighting to reclaim his legacy after being unseated as trustee of his family’s Double K Ranch, while musician Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly) must decide if her heart truly belongs in the small town she once tried to outrun or in the fast-paced world of New York City. Are they star-crossed lovers, or fated to be together?”

The series stars Duhamel and Kelly, alongside a returning ensemble that includes Lizzy Greene, who is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix feature drama “The 99ers,” which chronicles the 1999 U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team’s World Cup win. Also featured is Garrett Wareing, who previously starred in “The Long Walk” and will next be seen in “Chasing Summer,” which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.

Additional cast members include Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, Casey W. Johnson, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Robson, Heidi Engerman, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen and Niko Guardado.

Created and executive produced by April Blair, the series is also executive produced by Duhamel and Kelly alongside Dan Angel, Bradley Gardner, and Joe Fazzio.
