The Block 2026 Drama Has Begun As Rick & Tayla Call Out ‘Snakes’

They started the season as one happy family, but it appears the cracks are beginning to form within The Block 2026 cast.

Father-and-daughter duo Rick and Tayla Peroomal have opened up in a radio interview this week about their relationship with their co-stars and accused one couple of being “snakes”.

“We all got along, but watching it, I see that there are snakes. And then poor Dad thinks that everyone’s amazing and loves everyone, and they’re behind his back talking smack!” Tayla said on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.

“There’s a few talking smack. Putting everyone in a house was a big challenge,” Rick shared, although Tayla argued that the tension actually came from everyone “playing the game”.

The pair went on to specifically call out Adam and Jolene Wagner for being inauthentic, with Tayla admitting she’s felt “upset” watching them on the show.

“We’re just really upset because Dad loved them,” she said.

Things don’t appear to be as bad compared to previous seasons, however, as Tayla confirmed that the cast are all still in a WhatsApp group chat.

The radio tea-spilling sesh comes shortly after Gold Coast couple Chantel Green and Wyatt Randall told PEDESTRIAN.TV that living in a share house became “harder” as the season progressed and rivalries formed.

“When people are in your personal space all the time, there’s a bit of tension naturally,” Chantel said.

Perth-born paramedic Lisa Dunbar also teased that the shared accommodation caused some “drama” amongst the cast, adding: “If you put 10 adults in a share house together, force them to share a shower, share a washing machine and back them into a corner, you are going to have to fight your way out.”

The Block airs Sunday at 7pm and continues Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
