The Traitors’ Luke Packham Reveals Unspoken Agreement With Josh
The Traitors Australia 2026 marks the first season in the history of the global franchise to feature a personal relationship between two contestants, with twin brothers Luke and Josh Packham wreaking absolute havoc in the manor.
While many fans assumed at least one of them would be selected as a Traitor (or sent home by Shane Gould in episode one), the former Love Island and The Block contestants made it deep into the game and became two of the most dominant Faithfuls viewers have ever seen.
Luke personally spearheaded the campaign to get out both Alvin Quah and Alex Nation, and was determined to banish three Traitors in a row before he incorrectly sent Claudia Bonifazio home. He and his brother were subsequently chosen by the Traitors to go head-to-head in a Death Match, and he was sent home in Tuesday night’s episode.

Luke told PEDESTRIAN.TV following his exit that no one was more surprised by how far he and Josh made it in the game than the two of them, as they entered the game assuming they’d be separated in the first few days.
“We just thought one of us was gonna go early,” he remarked. “If one of us was a Traitor, we were gonna most likely have to take the other one out to keep ourselves in the game to defeat suspicion, and if we were both Traitors, one of us would be banished at the Round Table, and then they’d probably take out the other one. Every kind of way we looked at it, we were gonna go early.”
It’s because of this conclusion that Luke and Josh had somewhat of an unspoken agreement to play their own games and avoid being seen by others as a duo.
“When we were both in the house, we just naturally stayed away from each other, and we barely spoke for the first two or three day,” he recalled.
“It wasn’t really discussed. Just naturally, we figured it out very quickly that we needed to stay away from each other, and it worked. And it was only when the numbers started to dwindle did we forcibly have to kind of talk to each other… It happened perfectly for us how it played out.”
What Luke would’ve done if he was a Traitor
In another world where Luke was selected as an OG Traitor and Josh remained a Faithful, he admitted that he would have had no issue lying to his brother and playing a solo game.
“I would have loved to be a Traitor. If I was a Traitor, I would have gotten my brother to believe I was a Faithful, and I would have let him push that narrative as well,” he shared.
“If I could fool my brother, I could fool anyone else in there. So he would have been the first one I would have wanted to convince that I was a Faithful, and would have given me more confidence to go with it.”
As fun as that would have been, it’s up to Josh now to make it to the end of the game and take home the prize money — as long as he doesn’t get murdered or banished first.
