Today show weather girl STILL injured following a savage crab bite on live TV

The Today show weather presenter who was savagely attacked by a giant crab on-air is still battling with her injuries, weeks after the televised incident.

Taylor Haynes made headlines on April 3 when a giant crab grabbed her finger while she was presenting a live segment from the Sydney Fish Markets in Glebe.

And while Haynes has confirmed her finger wasn’t broken, she did emerge wearing a bandage on her finger while presenting another Today segment on Sunday.

Her dressings were hard to miss as she delivered a weather update from a charity run in Townsville, balancing a clipboard in her bandaged hand despite the injury.

Meanwhile, the segment took a turn when one of the fun run contestants started making odd faces at the camera.

It comes after Haynes enjoyed a taste of revenge by eating the very crab that injured her on camera.

Appearing in a segment just days after she was injured, Taylor was seen sitting at a table laden with a bowl of cooked crabs and a martini glass filled with crab legs.

‘Look, justice is being served this morning, Australia. I’d like to introduce you to my breakfast, if not my revenge,’ she said.

‘Do you recognise this bad boy in front of me? Because I definitely do. We are being reunited under very different circumstances this morning.’

Showing no remorse for her revenge act, Taylor added: ‘It had a great crack at me the other day, so I thought I’d have the last bite.’

A clip of Taylor’s revenge was uploaded to the Today show Instagram page and viewers flooded the comments section, with many wishing the reporter well.

‘So relieved you’re recovering well Taylor, and still got all your fingers,’ one viewer wrote. ‘Luckily it wasn’t a mud crab. You’re the best, love watching your segments!!’

Another chimed in with a similar: ‘So glad you’re ok, and happy to see you having the last bite. Girl power right there.’

A third summed up the sentiment of many with: ‘What a legend! Good on you for getting on with the job, it must have hurt!’

It wasn’t all praise, however, with some viewers calling Taylor’s revenge act ‘distasteful.’

‘You antagonised an animal and then thought this was funny. I thought you were just a TV bimbo but actually you are much more distasteful. Shame it didn’t bite harder,’ one angry commenter wrote.

Another added: ‘Absolutely sickening! At least the crab had some fun before it was murdered.’

A third suggested that Taylor would have won over hearts and minds with a more humanitarian approach.

‘Happy to have the crab being boiled alive? What a heartless woman! You want to be an example? Then you should have bought and released the animal… Character shows in little gestures.’

Following the shock incident, Taylor took to Instagram to give followers an update on her injuries.

She shared a carousel of images that recalled the ordeal with the cranky crustacean, as well as a photo that showed Taylor sitting in a hospital waiting room.

‘Firstly, just want to say a huge thank you to @sydneyfishmarket + @thetodayshow crew on how they responded to the incident this morning, absolute pros,’ she wrote.

‘The way they jumped into action right away & somehow kept me calm whilst the crab was munching its life away on my finger.

‘Miraculously, it’s not broken, just very bruised and swollen. I’ll take that as a win.’
