Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee as legendary Dallas Cowboys QB and CBS analyst smirks at camera in humiliating mugshot

NFL legend turned CBS analyst Tony Romo was arrested in Milwaukee on Thursday night.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was jailed on Thursday night after taken into custody for operating a vehicle while under the influence, according to local outlet Fox 6.

Romo, 46, was captured smirking as he stared down the camera for his mugshot after being booked by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

He was reportedly pulled over on a high-rise bridge at around 6pm, while traveling southbound on I-43.

The former signal caller, who earns $18million per year calling games for CBS, is said to have performed poorly on multiple sobriety tests before being taken into custody.

He was released from jail and is due in court on September 21. It was his first OWI offense.

In Wisconsin, a first-offense OWI is generally a civil offense, not a criminal charge. The citation typically carries a fine ranging from $150 to $300.

Romo spent his entire 13-season NFL career with the Cowboys, leading Dallas to four postseason appearances as the team’s starting quarterback between 2006 to 2015.

However, despite earning four Pro Bowl nods during his time on the field, Romo failed to make it to the Super Bowl, never advancing past the divisional round.

He lost his starting position to then-rookie Dak Prescott in 2016, retiring at the end of the season.

After hanging up his cleats, Romo went on to become the lead color analyst for NFL on CBS.

The retired signal caller, who famously dated Jessica Simpson from 2007 to 2009, is married to Candice Crawford Romo, a former broadcast journalist and past Miss Missouri. They share three children.

Romo, who grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin, is believed to have been in the Milwaukee area for the Wisconsin Amateur Championship.

The Cowboys icon has competed in the annual golf tournament for multiple years at West Bend Country Club, which is located around 37 miles outside of Milwaukee.

However, he tumbled down the leaderboard, finishing tied for 73rd after shooting a score of 35-over across the four rounds.
