Vodafone network down for millions of Australians
Millions of Australians are thought to have been impacted by an outage at Vodafone, one of Australia’s largest mobile networks.
‘We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with Vodafone service and we are urgently investigating,’ the company said in a statement on Thursday.
‘We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as possible.’
There had been more than 8,300 reports of a Vodafone outage filed to the tracking service Downdetector by 9.15am on Thursday.
The network status checker page on Vodafone’s website displayed an error message saying: ‘We’ll be right back.’
‘We’re just performing some scheduled maintenance. Check back soon.’
