Who were the worst dressed royals and celebs at Ascot? Rank YOUR favourite outfits – and vote on which regular racegoer was more fashionable than the stars

Loved by royals, celebrities and racegoers alike, Royal Ascot has already showcased an array of fashionable ensembles – from lace gowns to statement headwear, and plenty inbetween.

The five-day racing event is a chance to see and be seen while enjoying a flute or two of fizz and a flutter on the horses.

For the royals, some of whom ride alongside the King and Queen in the carriage procession, and the celebrities and mere mortals attending, outfits will have been planned months in advance to ensure they hit exactly the right seasonal fashion note.

Maura Higgins, Holly Willoughby and fashion designer Daisy Knatchbull were seemingly inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s My Fair Lady for their appearance on the third day, sporting white ensembles and distinctive hats.

‘The Eliza Doolittle aesthetic works so well at Ascot because it celebrates femininity, sophistication and attention to detail,’ celebrity stylist Lisa Talbot told the Daily Mail.

Elsewhere, the Princess of Wales’ first visit to Royal Ascot for two years saw the royal go bold, joining the procession in a striking canary yellow outfit from Roksanda, paired with a matching hat.

Prince William offered a subtle nod to his wife’s burst of colour, wearing the same hued flower in the lapel of his morning suit.

When it came to stars arriving at the Berkshire course for the first, second and third day of fun in the sun, there was plenty to praise – but some looks appeared to veer a little off course when it came to taste.

But who do you think has impressed in the fashion stakes at Royal Ascot so far? Vote below for your favourite…
