The US destroyer Arleigh Burke leaves the Black Sea

 

US Navy missile destroyer Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) leaves the Black Sea after participating in NATO exercises. This was stated on the page of the US Sixth Fleet on Twitter.

A statement from the Sixth Fleet read: “The missile destroyer.. Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) has begun its planned southward transition from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean after conducting naval operations with NATO allies and partners.”

Arleigh Burke reached the Black Sea on November 25 and has been in the area ever since.

In early November, US Navy ships Porter, Mount Whitney, as well as refueling tanker John Linthal, arrived in the region to participate in NATO exercises.
