Saudi Arabia rejects US request to increase oil production

Saudi Arabia did not agree to US President Joseph Biden’s request to increase oil production.

According to the Wall Street Journal writer. Benoit Faucon. The American leader asked for it in order to lower energy prices.

As Faucon pointed out, Saudi Arabia, being the world’s largest exporter of crude oil, did not agree to the request.

He said that the price of oil for American consumers doubled after the pandemic, so Biden repeatedly turned to the Saudi authorities. In response, it was said that Saudi Arabia would not violate the agreement between OPEC members and Russia to increase fuel production per month by 400,000 barrels.
