Russia evacuates its diplomats from Ukraine

Russia decided to evacuate embassy and consulate-general employees from Ukraine, and the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on this.

“In order to protect their lives and safety, the Russian leadership has decided to evacuate the employees of the Russian foreign missions in Ukraine, which will be carried out in the very near future,” the statement read.

The ministry noted that since 2014, the Russian embassy and consulates in Kiev, Odessa, Lvov and Kharkov have been repeatedly attacked. Russian diplomats received death threats more than once, and their cars were set on fire. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities did not care, what was happening.
