Zelensky declares general mobilization
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the start of a general mobilization of the population in the country.
“The decision was made in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and in order to ensure the defense of the state, maintain the combat readiness and mobilization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations,” the statement read.
General mobilization must be done within 90 days.
Ukrainian authorities also announced a ban on leaving the country for all men between the ages of 18 and 60.
