Merkel believes that Germany’s refusal to join Ukraine in NATO was correct
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel believes that it is true that in 2008 Germany reacted negatively to Ukraine’s plans to join NATO.
Merkel added that she supports all efforts of the German government and all international efforts to support Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Merkel and former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and invited them to visit Bucha.
