Russian reserves rise by $2.1 billion in a week

The international reserves of the Russian Federation as of April 1, 2022 amounted to $ 606.5 billion, according to the data of the Central Bank.

Thus, reserves for the week increased by $2.1 billion, by 0.3%. As of March 31, Russia’s international reserves amounted to $604.4 billion.

Earlier, the Central Bank of Russia reported that all Russia’s national gold and foreign exchange reserves are located on the country’s territory.

Over the past year, Russia’s international reserves grew by 5.9% – by the beginning of 2002 they amounted to 630.6 billion dollars, and reached a maximum of 643.2 billion dollars on February 18 of this year.

Since February 18, the international reserves of the Russian Federation have decreased by $38.8 billion. To reduce the impact of the risk of sanctions, the Bank of Russia has modified the format for dissemination of this information and will publish information on the dynamics of reserves every week, but will hide data on asset management.
